 Growing
up in Madison, Wisconsin, Catherine always dreamed of being a
comedienne and actress. Training for a professional career in
the performing arts Catherine received her Bachelor of Arts degree
in Theatre in 1983 from California State University Northridge.
After further Los Angeles training and experience in film, television,
commercials, radio, stand-up comedy and theatre, she found her
passion in musical children's theatre, creating a one-woman show
touring the mainland United States and Hawaii. This was the birth
of "Banana". Today, Catherine has come back to her roots in Madison,
Wisconsin to share her 21 years of experience as her signature
character the "Banana Lady™".
The
"Banana Lady™" continues to enjoy her nationwide following
helping effect positive change in kids and their families with
her unique sparkle, through national appearances, CD's, the "Top
Banana Kid's Club" and being a Good Will Ambassador for Health
and Wellness. Currently Banana Productions, LLC is heading up
a campaign to help kids "Eat Right and Keep Fit" utilizing the
"Banana Lady™" character and her sidekick monkey puppet
"Spike™" to make it fun and cool to be healthy.
